The Perak State Government is planning to collaborate with China to explore new technologies in industrial mineral, especially involving a rare earth element, lanthanides.

The state government had informed in a statement today (Oct 20) that Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, who led the state delegation in a working visit to Nanning, China had arrived yesterday to visit China Rare Earth Group Co Ltd’s (CREG) rare earth element extraction plant.

PETALING JAYA: Perak menteri besar Saarani Mohamad visited a rare-earth extraction factory in Nanning, China, in the state government’s effort to seek cooperation with the republic on the latest technology in mineral extraction, especially in rare-earth elements.

He arrived in Nanning yesterday to visit China Rare Earth Group Co Ltd’s factory, according to the Perak menteri besar’s office, Bernama reported.

Kuala Lumpur: Penubuhan makmal nadir bumi bukan radio aktif (NR-REE) pertama negara bakal menjadikan negeri Perak sebagai hab komprehensif dan pemangkin industri mineral itu di Malaysia.

Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Perbadanan Menteri Besar Perak (MB Inc) Anuar Zainal Abidin berkata, makmal NR-REE bakal merancakkan lagi sektor itu dan pada masa sama ia selari dengan pelan Perak Sejahtera 2030 berhubung perlombongan bertanggungjawab.

IPOH - The country's first non-radioactive rare earth (NR-REE) laboratory to be constructed in Perak, has the potential to turn Perak into the mineral industry hub in the country.

Perak Chief Minister Incorporated (MB Inc) chief executive officer Anuar Zainal Abidin said, the laboratory is capable of boosting the mineral industry in line with responsible mining practices as outlined in the Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan.
