IPOH: In view of the movement control order (MCO), Perak Mentri Besar Incorporated (MB Inc) presented food boxes to more than 300 Orang Asli households from 10 villages in Hulu Perak.

MB Inc chief executive officer Anuar Zainal Abidin said the initiative was to support the state government’s efforts to help targeted groups affected by MCO.

The food boxes, he said, were delivered to the villagers with the cooperation of the Hulu Perak Land and District Office and a non-governmental organisation called Pertubuhan Mendidik Insan Cemerlang Larut Matang dan Selama Perak.

“We hope providing the food boxes will help relieve the burden of the Orang Asli during the MCO period.

“Our mission this time was to assist the Orang Asli living in interiors, and thus the MB Inc team used boats to send the aid directly to the villagers, ” he said in a statement Saturday (April 4).

Anuar said MB Inc had also presented RM200,000 to the state’s Social Aid and Disaster Fund.

“This is to support the state’s mission of helping targeted groups and to help with expenses required to curb the spread of Covid-19, ” he added.
